Carolyn Mark: This Juno nominated chanteuse moves from woodsy and introspective to bizarre and eccentric from album to album, but you can always count on her to showcase a confident and collaborative, yet never too haughty, approach to songwriting. She’s worked with some of the best Canadian country superstars (Neko Case, Corb Lund) and shared the stage with some of the most talented folks in the business (Blue Rodeo, Wanda Jackson, The Sadies), and there’s really no other roots-country artist as engaging as The Queen of Vancouver Island. http://www.carolynmark.com/
Jesse Waldman: Influenced by folk and blues pioneers Townes Van Zandt, Taj Mahal, and Neil Young, Jesse's blend of folk and blues is full of lush imagery, sublime melodies, and outstanding musical technique. Jesse's highly anticipated solo debut, Mansion Full of Ghosts, is a stunning exploration of Vancouver's vast duality, a backdrop of beauty mirrored by a fierce underbelly, and a need to keep a light on in the dark. https://jessewaldmanmusic.com/
Leah Barley: Leah tells her bluesy-folk tales of love, loss, epic bike rides, and broken homes with beautiful tones and a range that will make your hair stand on end. With just over a decade of performing under her belt, Leah has been compared to artist such as Norah Jones, Amy Winehouse, and Janis Joplin. https://www.leahbarleymusic.com/
Joline Baylis: Joline is a Vancouver based singer-songwriter with a voice reminiscent of Eva Cassidy and Ani Difranco offering impeccably crafted indie folk-rock - fresh, haunting, and profoundly honest. Joline's music explores the complexities of love and connection, the upheaval of change and rebirth, and the strength of enduring optimism. https://www.jolinebaylis.com/
Old.Soul.Rebel: Based out of Vancouver, B.C, Old.Soul.Rebel is the musical musings of Chelsea D.E. Johnson and Lola Whyte. Often accompanied by famed drummer, Kenan Sungar, they offer a raw blend of original soul and bad ass rock n roll. "Named one of 11 best new bands across Canada in 2016" (CBC Radio) http://oldsoulrebel.squarespace.com/#home-section
The Bottom Shelf Bourbon Trio: Playing roots music anchored between the lowdown grit and growl of early blues, and the high lonesome sounds of bluegrass, their music explores universal themes of substance abuse, infidelity, blue-collar angst, and unrequited love. Huston’s song writing reflects on urban life via engaging, edgy lyrics woven into solidly crafted tunes that set the groove for Chris' intricate guitar work and unorthodox banjo picking. http://www.thebottomshelfbourbontrio.com/
Logan and Nathan: A laid-back freak-folk duo from Vancouver, BC, Logan and Nathan's music dances along the lines of folk music, but when they perform it turns into something else. Logan's old time influenced tenor banjo playing (think Ida-Mae from the 1920’s) provides a dream-like foundation for Nathan's classically influenced guitar playing and the pair's gorgeous harmonies. https://www.loganandnathan.com/
Buffalo Jones: A Vancouver based singer singer-songwriter combining the sounds of classic country and neo-soul. If you've ever needed to know what The Band would sound like fronted by an Al Greene disciple, look no further than Buffalo Jones. lo Jones.
